iPhone Apps Make Me Smile

There is literally an app out there for everything. There isn't a day that goes by where apps aren't part of my conversation or I overhear people talking about them (I'm obsessed with my iPhone don't judge). Check out the below link....

Karate Kid

There are many things that get under my skin on a daily basis, but like any person living in New York trying to function as normal as possible, you learn to pick your battles.  Unfortunately, little kids on the subway is one battle I can't help but fight.  Actually to be more accurate, the parents of little kids on the subway are the reason I curse myself for getting out of bed every morning.

Now, I understand little kids are hard to control and sometimes parents are just too tired to care, but guess what, I am an innocent bystander who does not deserve the abuse.  Trust me, I am not angry at the children.  I wish I could go around kicking, smacking, and spitting at people like they do and get away with it with a simple "awe isn't she cute".  But being that I am a 25 year old woman, that isn't seen as respectful, so I have to continue my day as if nothing happened and be content with a simple eye roll...except when I get kicked in the nose by a rainbow bootie with a cheerio dangling from the bottom.

I get it.  The kid doesn't have control of their body parts at that age and the last place they want to be is in the subway.  Me too!  As a parent who wants to teach their kid to have some respect to others, say "I'm sorry" or relocate your child to the other arm so their flailing feet don't come flying at me.  Do not pretend that nothing happened.  Or better yet, do not pretend like the child isn't yours to begin with.  I see you holding them and I know you did not just pick them up off the corner for a day of fun, or at least I would hope not.  And when I say "excuse me" after being karate chopped in the face, the correct response is not "oh I think he likes you."  Really?  I didn't realize that that was how people show affection for each other these days.  I am almost positive that I could not walk into a bar and find a guy I like and at the end of the night kick him in the shin.  I mean some people are into that, but that's a different story.
